My 6-month poo won’t pee or poo on walks. Only goes in our garden. Any tips? Focus on socialization, confidence building and creating positive associations with walks/you/spending time outside and the rest will follow.

Their choosing to not relive themselves on walks is saying something about their comfort level in that environment.
